National Security Inspectorate (NSI)

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI), formerly NACOSS, is the leading governing inspectorate for the security industry. It ensures that as a member company we install systems to rigorous standards and:

  • Have been thoroughly security vetted
  • Are inspected twice a year to ensure we are maintaining standards in both the quality of installation and how we run our business
  • Are properly insured
  • Operate a 24 hour call out service (and respond within 4 hours)
  • Complete a thorough security survey of your property
  • Install reliable, up to date equipment
  • Issue you with a Certificate of Compliance for your alarm
  • Meet the relevant British and European Standards

An NSI member company is recognised and often insisted upon by Insurance Companies, Police and Fire Authorities.

The British Standards Institution (BSI)

Vulcan Fire Ltd has BSI accreditation for our fire extinguisher business.

Portable fire extinguishers save lives and property by putting out small fires or containing them until the fire brigade arrives. They should only be used for fighting a fire in its very early stages.

There are a wide variety of portable fire extinguishers available, based on the type of fire they will be fighting. These differ by the extinguishing agent they expel onto a fire; the main types of extinguisher are foam, CO2, dry powder and foam.

BSI standards and publications give recommendations for users, consultants and industry professionals who require an understanding of fire.

Vulcan Fire Ltd has BSI accreditation for our fire extinguisher business.
