A dry riser is a vertical mains which distributes water to each floor of a building as part of a fire suppression system. It is maintained empty of water and has a ground level inlet so the fire brigade can connect to the water supply.
Following your initial discussions with Vulcan Fire Ltd, we aim to give you a quotation within 48 hours of receiving your plans. Alternatively one of our surveyors can visit you to assess your requirements and give advice. As soon as you confirm Vulcan Fire Ltd as your supplier we will start to work on the design and manufacture stage.
All installation work is carried out by our fully-qualified engineers, and all our onsite engineers are accredited to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
All equipment supplied by Vulcan Fire Ltd conforms to the requirements of BS5041 and / or LPCB. We use the highest quality components and equipment, sourced wherever possible from within the UK. All our systems are designed, manufactured and installed to the highest health and safety standards and we are accredited by all the recognised industry bodies.
Safety is our main concern and that is why we hold OHSAS18001:2007. All our engineers are qualified installers of Fixed Fire and Suppression Systems and also hold PASMA cards.

Dry Risers Service and Maintenance
In accordance with BS5306 and BS9990, Dry Riser Systems should be Hydraulically Pressure Tested after installation. Following all our installations or repair work we carry out these tests and issue the appropriate Commissioning and / or Test Certificate.
The British Standard recommends that all systems are serviced every six months and Hydraulically Pressure Tested annually. Our engineers carry out this type of work regularly and we have vehicles which carry the necessary pumping and testing equipment to cater for all types of Riser System.
